WEATHER: Heavy rain expected as cyclone Dineo strikes

Tropical cyclone, Dineo with 80knots or 160km/h winds is expected to touch the coastline of Mozambique on Wednesday night, moving westwards affecting the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces on Thursday.
Average winds of 60km/h and heavy rainfall that will lead to localized flooding is expected on Thursday night until Saturday.
Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west and south-west.

Free State: Hot in the extreme west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Northern Cape: Cool along the coast with morning fog patches, otherwise fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy over the interior with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east but scattered in the north-east.

Western Cape: Fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places over the interior. It will be cloudy in the east and along the south-coast in the morning, becoming partly cloudy in the north-eastern interior where isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected.

Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and warm, but hot over the interior with isolated thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be fresh easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south-west.
