WEATHER: Fire danger in parts of SA

The SA Weather Service has issued a warning of extremely high fire danger conditions expected in places over the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Gale force north-westerly winds of 70 km/h is expected over the north-western parts of the Eastern Cape. 


Gauteng: Fine and warm.

Mpumalanga: Fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo: Fine and warm to hot.

North West: Fine, windy and warm becoming partly cloudy in the west from the afternoon.

Free State: Fine, windy and warm becoming partly cloudy in the west from the late morning

Northern Cape: Partly cloudy, windy and cool but cloudy in the extreme west and south-west where isolated showers and rain is expected. It will be warm in places in the north but fine in the east until late morning.

Western Cape: Cloudy, windy and cold to cool with isolated showers and rain, except in the north-east where it will be partly cloudy, otherwise scattered but widespread along the south-west coast and adjacent interior.


Cape Town: 14 / 16


Eastern Cape: Fine, windy and warm becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly becoming fresh to strong south-westerly by the late morning. 


Port Elizabeth: 13 / 26


KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy in places at first, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places in the east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the south in the late evening.
