Heavy rain leading to flooding is expected in the Ehlanzeni District of Mpumalanga and Vhembe, Mopani and Capricorn Districts of Limpopo.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in the southern interior of the Northern Cape and the Breede River Valley and Central Karoo of the Western Cape.


Gauteng: Cloudy at times, warm and windy with isolated showers from afternoon. It will be cool in the south.

Mpumalanga: Cool over the eastern high ground, otherwise cloudy, warm and windy with isolated showers and rain but scattered to widespread in the east and north-east.

Limpopo: Hot in the Western Bushveld, otherwise cloudy, warm and windy with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the central and eastern parts.

North West: Hot in the west, otherwise partly cloudy, warm and windy with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in places in the north-east where it will be cloudy.

Free State: Hot in places in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be cloudy in the north-east spreading to the south-west in the evening. It will be windy in the northern parts.

Northern Cape: Morning fog along the coast where it will be warm, otherwise fine and hot to very hot in places becoming partly cloudy in the central and eastern parts with isolated thundershowers from afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly but strong in the afternoon.

Western Cape: Cloudy along the south coast and adjacent interior at first becoming partly cloudy, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy in the north-east with isolated thundershowers in the extreme north-east from afternoon. It will be very hot to extremely hot in the interior.
