WEATHER: Gale force winds expected along the coast

Gale force south-westerly winds of 65km/h is expected between Richard's Bay and Kosi Bay at first.

Heavy rain leading to localized flooding is expected in the North West province, the northern and eastern half of the Free State, north-eastern Northern Cape, extreme southern Gauteng, extreme western KwaZulu-Natal, and the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.
Gauteng: Cloudy at times and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy and warm but cool over the high grounds, with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread on the western Highveld.

Limpopo: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in places in the south. It will be hot in the Western Bushveld.
Polokwane: 19 / 25
North West: Cloudy at times and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north-east.
Rustenburg: 18 / 25
Free State: Cloudy at times and cool with scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers. It will be cold in the north-east.
Bloemfontein: 15 / 20
Northern Cape: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the north and north-east. It will be hot in the western interior.
Kimberley: 17 / 23
Western Cape: Cloudy to partly cloudy in the east with light rain along the south coast at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot to extremely hot in places over the western interior. It will be windy along the south-west coast and adjacent interior.
Cape Town:
Eastern Cape: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers rain in the south becoming partly cloudy. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.
Port Elizabeth: 19 / 24
KwaZulu-Natal: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the north-west and along the north coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly reaching gale force between Richards Bay and Kosi Bay at first, becoming south-easterly in the south later.
