WEATHER: High fire conditions

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over parts of the Free State, North-West, Northern Cape, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Heavy rain is possible in places over the mountaneous areas of the Cape Metropole, south-western parts of the Cape Winelands and the western parts of the Overberg District.


Gauteng: Hot in the north, otherwise fine and warm

Mpumalanga: Hot to very hot in the Lowveld, otherwise fine and warm.

Limpopo: Fine and hot, but very hot in places in the Lowveld, Limpopo Valley and the Western Bushveld.

North West: Windy in places in the afternoon, otherwise fine and hot but partly cloudy in the west.


Rustenburg: 12 / 32


Free State: Fine to partly cloudy, windy and warm with isolated thundershowers except in the north.


Bloemfontein: 08 / 27


Northern Cape: Cold in the southern high ground, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated thundershowers in the extreme south-east where windy conditions are expected in places. Morning fog patches is expected along the coast.

Western Cape: Cloudy and cool in the west with rain from the late morning spreading along the south coast in the evening, otherwise partly cloudy but warm in the extreme east interior. 


Cape Town: 12 / 16


Eastern Cape: Fine, windy and cool to warm but partly cloudy in the south at first. The wind along the coast will be light north-easterly becoming fresh south-westerly.


Port Elizabeth: 09 / 23


KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south, otherwise fine and hot. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
