WEATHER: Hot and humid

Severe thunderstorms are expected over the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga Highveld, Gauteng, extreme eastern parts of North West and the south-western Bushveld of Limpopo.

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in the Free State and North West Provinces, as well as the northern parts of Northern Cape.
Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the Limpopo Valley and Western Bushveld.
Gauteng: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east where it will be cool in places with morning drizzle and fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east with morning drizzle and fog patches along the southern escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but extremely hot in places in the western Bushveld. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected but isolated in the northeast.

North West: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Rustenburg: 21 / 33
Free State: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with morning showers and thundershowers, recurring in the afternoon except in the west.

Northern Cape: Cloudy at first along the coast with morning fog patches where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm but hot to very hot in the northern interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Kimberley: 19 / 36
Western Cape: Cloudy along the south coast in the morning and evening with possible fog, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cool in places along the south-west and south coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly along the south coast, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and warm but cool along the coast. Morning fog patches are expected in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be light and variable becoming moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.
Port Elizabeth: 17 / 23
KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool but warm in places in the northwest with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate east to north-easterly becoming south-easterly in places.
