WEATHER: Intense cold front heading to Western Cape

An intense cold front is expected to affect the Western and Northern Cape on Wednesday and Thursday.

The public and small stock farmers are advised that heavy rain leading to flooding, snowfalls, storm surges and very cold conditions are expected.

Gauteng: Fine and cool.

Mpumalanga: Cold in places over the highveld, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the east.

Limpopo: Fine cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the east.


Polokwane: 06 / 22


North West: Fine and cool but warm in places.


Rustenburg: 06 / 24


Free State: Fine and cool.

Northern Cape: Fine and cool but warm in places along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape: Partly cloudy over the eastern interior at first, otherwise fine and cool but warm in places in the western interior.

Eastern Cape: Cloudy at first south of the escarpment with light morning rain along the Wild Coast, otherwise fine and cool.


Port Elizabeth: 10 / 21


KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but cold in the far west with isolated showers along the coast.
