Extremely hot conditions are expected over the south-western interior of the Northern Cape and the West Coast District of the Western Cape on Thursday and Friday.

Gauteng: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers in the afternoon except in the north.

Mpumalanga: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, becoming cloudy over the south-eastern parts and eastern parts from late afternoon into evening.

North West: Hot in places the west, otherwise fine, becoming partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme north-east.

Free State: Cloudy at times along the escarpment and in places in the north-east with scattered showers and thundershowers where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but cool in places in the east.

Northern Cape: Very hot in places in the central parts, otherwise fine, becoming partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme north-east. It will be cool along the coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.

Western Cape: Cloudy along the south coast and eastern interior in the morning with morning rain along the south coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but fine and hot to very hot in the west. It will be extremely hot in places in the West Coast interior.

Eastern Cape: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and rain south of the escarpment. It will be cold in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly.
Port Elizabeth: 16 / 22
KwaZulu-Natal: Overcast and cool with scattered showers and rain but widespread in the south. It will be warm in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be fresh south-westerly.
