The South African Weather Service has issued a watch for severe thunderstorms that are possible over the Highveld of Mpumalanga.

Gauteng: Hot in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers except in the extreme south where it will be fine at first.

Mpumalanga: Warm in the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the Highveld. Evening fog patches and drizzle are expected over the escarpment.

Limpopo: Partly cloudy becoming cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers. Evening fog patches and drizzle are expected over the escarpment.

Free State: Cool in the north-east, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the far east with isolated showers and thundershowers.
