WEATHER: Showers and thundershowers expected

Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions in places in the lowveld of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with showers and thundershowers. It will be hot in the north.

Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the extreme west. It will be very hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo: Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

North West: Partly cloudy and hot with isolated thundershowers in the extreme east.

Free State: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thundershowers in the east.

Northern Cape: Cloudy at first along the coast with fog patches, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly. 

Kimberley: 13 / 30

Western Cape: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with morning patches in the north-west. The wind along the coast will be light and variable along the west coast at first, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly.

Cape Town: 13 / 21

Eastern Cape: Fine and warm, but partly cloudy and cool along the coast. It will become cloudy in the evening south of the escarpment, with light rain along the coast and adjacent interior.

Port Elizabeth: 17 / 20

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior becoming partly cloudy later and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be cloudy and cool to warm along the coast with isolated afternoon showers. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-westerly freshening in the south later.
