WEATHER: Wet weather in Gauteng

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the interior of the Northern and Western Cape as well as over the north western interior of the Eastern Cape.

Severe thunderstorms are expected in places over the eastern half of the Eastern Cape interior in the afternoon into the evening.
Gauteng: Cloudy at first with morning showers and thundershowers in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers late afternoon.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

North West: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State: Cool in the north-east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.
Bloemfontein: 18 / 30
Northern Cape: Morning fog along the coast where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot over the interior. Isolated thundershowers are expected over the east.
Kimberley: 22 / 32
Western Cape: Partly cloudy and warm along the coast where it will be cloudy at first, otherwise fine and hot to very hot over the interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh easterly to south-easterly becoming strong in the west in the afternoon.
Cape Town: 18 / 25
Eastern Cape: Cloudy in places at first, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places in the interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly becoming moderate south-westerly in the afternoon.
Port Elizabeth: 17 / 26
KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh east to north-easterly, becoming strong from the south towards mid-day.
