The South African Weather Service has issued a special advisory for a heat wave with persistently high temperatures expected along the coastal areas of the Northern Cape until Sunday.

Northern Cape: Fine and cool but warm along the coast where it will be windy. It will be cold in places in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly.

Western Cape: Morning mist in places in the south-west, otherwise fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly but easterly in the south.
