It was the auction that never was, as Sheriff of the court Lawrence Hadebe tried in vain to access the property of Winnie Madikizela Mandela.
That was in May this year. Now the Sheriff of the court says the case no longer resides with them. Choert Maartens , Manager at the Office of the Sheriff says they are still awaiting instructions from the lawyers.
Madikizela's silver tea set, artwork and furniture were among the valuables to be auctioned at her Orlando west home.
The monies owing were apparently from fees for her niece at Abbots College, that she allegedly had not paid.
"We dont even have any documentation in our possesion anymore. Right now we are waiting to hear from the lawyers in charge of the case." say Maartens
