Wits PYA defends dismissed SRC president
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile

Dlamini was dismissed on Monday by Vice Chancellor Adam Habib after he was allegedly found guilty of misconduct in February.
Dlamini has been under criticism for his recent comments on Facebook where he expressed his admiration for German dictator Adolf Hitler and also said all white people have a Hitler in them.
Habib said Dlamini's removal has nothing to do with the recent comments about Hitler but rather an alleged misconduct he was found guilty of in February.
Meanwhile the PYA has come out in support of Dlamini.
"We refuse to accept a decision that seeks to be selective in its moral standards and demand to make it clear that unless Wits students ask we recall the President, he remains as President of this institution" PYA says in a statement.
PYA also says Dlamini, like many, is not without flaws.
"It must be stated that Mcebo like many of us is not without flaws, as an activist of the movement we know he will always subject himself to the wisdom of the collective which is something our Vice Chancellor the superstar knows nothing about".
Habib said in statement he is still seeking legal advice on what steps to take regarding Dlamini's Hitler comments.
Message From the Vice Chancellor Adam Habib
Dlamini, responding after his removal from office on Monday, said Habib does not have powers to remove him.
"The Vice Chancellor has acted in bad faith and has abused his power, he doesn't have powers to recall a sitting President. Only a student forum. Students should be allowed to vote on the matter" he said.
