Woman arrested for conspiracy to murder her husband
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso

Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele said the woman allegedly approached a traditional healer on Saturday, asking for a medicine to kill her husband.
"The traditional healer was unable to help her. She [allegedly] requested the traditional healer to organise hit men who will kill her husband and will pay them R20,000 in cash."
He said the traditional healer promised to help her organise the men but instead informed police about the conspiracy to murder.
On the same day the woman met the traditional healer with two undercover policemen who were pretending to be hit men.
She allegedly gave the police R4000 in cash and promised to pay the outstanding balance the following day once the job was finished.
The woman phoned her husband and told him to go to President and Ntemi Piliso streets and when he arrived she told him the men were going to take him to another traditional healer for cleansing.
Mbele said the police took out their appointment certificates, introduced themselves, and arrested her.
"The motive for the conspiracy to murder her husband is not yet known and investigations are continuing," he said.
