Woman brutally murdered
A 39-year-old woman has been brutally murdered in Limpopo.
Police say a passerby made the grisly discovery and saw the suspect allegedly chopping up the woman's body.
Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect had been found at the scene with an axe in his hands.
"It is alleged that the suspect was found by a passerby busy chopping his 39-year old next-door neighbour woman with a sharp instrument and later started sucking the blood from the deceased's body," he says.
Ngoepe says the victim's children also witnessed the horrific incident.
"The people who witnessed this incident including the deceased children are receiving counselling."
The motive for the killing is still under investigation.
The suspect will appear in the Zaaiplaas Magistrate's Court soon.
