A woman has passed away in Evaton after casting her vote
at the Faith Mission Church.

The woman died shortly after voting in the local government elections on Monday.
Kaya FM News reported that 57-year-old Patricia Tshabalala cast her vote and upon exiting the church, she collapsed on the steps and died.
“Whoever is winning this ward should remember that Patricia died for this, and it demonstrates that as a municipality we owe it to our people because they’re giving their lives,” said Johannesburg Mayor Mpho Moerane.
Her family and emergency services were immediately called to the scene where she had collapsed.
