Woman dies in East Rand accident
A woman died and seven people were injured on Friday when a truck and a car collided on Atlas Road in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg, paramedics said.
The woman was found dead in the car, which was found in a veld next to the road in the early hours of the morning, ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.
Two other occupants of the car sustained moderate injuries.
Five people travelling in the truck, including the driver, sustained minor to moderate injuries, Meiring said. They were taken to a nearby hospital.
The cause of the accident was not known.
