Woman in the dock for alleged ill-treatment of children
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
A 24-year old mother has appeared in court for alleged child neglect and abuse.

According to the police's Kay Makhubela, the mother allegedly tied her one-year-old and four-year-old daughters to the bed in their home on the East Rand, and locked the door last week.
"The children started crying. The neighbours phoned the police. Police rescued the children and they were taken to a place of safety," says Makhubela.
Makhubela says it is believed the woman went out to go look for work.
"She was not prepared to leave her children with another person," says Makhubela.
