Newlands East police are in search of three gunmen who opened fire inside a public bus, killing a female passenger.

The bus was transporting commuters from the CBD to Hill Grove in the northern Durban area on Wednesday evening.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says they've been told the suspects had been riding in the bus when they shot at three passengers.
"A 53-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene, and the other two were taken to hospital for medical tension. The suspect fled the scene on foot after the incident. The motive for the killing is unknown."
Cases of murder and attempted murder are being investigated.
