An elderly woman was attacked by dogs in an informal settlement in Botha's Hill outside Durban, paramedics said on Monday.
An elderly woman was attacked by dogs in an informal settlement in Botha's Hill outside Durban, paramedics said on Monday.
"An elderly woman has suffered multiple traumatic injuries to her body as a result of being mauled by dogs in the early hours of this morning [Monday]," ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said in a statement.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was found lying on the ground with large parts of flesh on her arms and legs missing.
"Despite her being alert, she was in a critical condition and in a severe amount of pain," she said.
She was stabilised and taken to the RK Khan Hospital.
