Woolies recall sandal after two injured
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Woolworths is recalling a faulty sandal range after two people were injured, the company said on Wednesday.
"We are recalling one of our summer sandals due to concerns about our customers' safety, as a metal strip over the foot has sharp edges which could cause injury," Brett Kaplan, Woolworths managing director of clothing and general merchandise said.
"All of these sandals have been removed from the sales floor."
This was after two people were cut by the sandals.
He called on anyone who bought a pair of the sandals, which are in white, black or brown to return them to the store for a full refund.
"The recall applies to sandals with style number 502051096 located under the foot strap," he said.
Kaplan apologised for the inconvenience caused to customers.
