A woman in her 20s is in a critical condition after she fell from the second floor of a mall, during a shootout, in Johannesburg.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the incident occurred at a shopping centre in Aspen Hills, Johannesburg South.
The woman was in a critical condition with severe head injuries when paramedics arrived on the scene.
She was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before being transported to Baragwanath Hospital.
“Fortunately, no-one sustained any further injuries during the shootout,” Meiring said.
Meiring said it was believed that the shootout broke out near a store, causing the woman to run and trip, falling from the second floor.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
