AfriForum Youth said it supported SAUJS in its demand as Dlamini's comments were racist.

"We are glad that Professor Adam Habib, vice chancellor at Wits, has launched a probe to check whether disciplinary action can be instituted against Dlamini," spokesperson Monique du Randt said in a statement.

"Double standards are the order of the day at several large universities, where only racism against black students is condemned."

This follows comments made by Dlamini on social media that he loved Hitler and during an interview he said that every white person had an element of Hitler in them.

Dlamini has been unapologetic about his comments.

‘Comments will incite violence’

Wits vice chancellor and principle Professor Adam Habib condemned the comments calling them offensive and racist.

Habib has referred Dlamini for investigation to see whether he should have disciplinary charges brought against him.

The SAUJS wants Dlamini removed as SRC president.

The Cope Student Movement expressed shock and at Dlamini's comments saying it was disturbing and he did not qualify to lead.

"Dlamini's comments will incite violence and unnecessarily increase religious tensions amongst students. What was he smoking?" acting general secretary Khotso Mofokeng said in a statement.

"He has shamed himself, his university and our country. Those who wish to flaunt their love of monsters of history lack a moral platform."

The movement called on Dlamini to make a public apology.
