Zille wants public protector's findings reviewed
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has questioned the Public Protector's findings against her.

Busisiwe Mkhwebane made public a number of investigations undertaken by her office on Wednesday.
She said Zille had been exposed to a conflict of interest and had violated the executive members ethics code when she used her position to benefit her son.
The matter relates to the procurement of computer tablets for a workshop for disadvantaged schools in Khayelitsha in 2014 - run by Zille's son, who was a maths teacher there at the time.
Zille claimed the revision programmes were given at no charge.
She said to avoid cancelling the workshops due to a lack of digital equipment, she spoke to the director-general who informed her that 150 tablets were available for classes like these.
Zille's son borrowed the tablets for the children and returned them after the holidays.
The premier said she'd also followed the correct channels and wrote to the director-general, copying other officials about the tablets.
"By intervening in the execution of the contract for the delivery of the computers, in order to ensure that the son can use in these tablets - she exposed herself to a risk of a conflict of interest between her official responsibilities and her private interests," Busisiwe Mkhwebane said.
