Leader Julius Malema says parties with divergent political views need to unite in order to save the country.

We are working on a strategy on how best we can remove Zuma as a President because what he did last night it is not in the best interest of the country. He has disrupted this country for some time and we now have to put aside our political differences and ensure that there is unity of purpose to rescue this country,” says Malema.

Malema says Zuma and the Gupta family have captured national treasury by replacing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan with Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba.

“He has captured Treasury, this means the Guptas have captured Treasury. He has finally achieved what he wanted to do when he appointed Des Van Rooyen. He could have done the same thing, but Van Rooyen was not known by social media fanatics. The social media fanatics are now happy that someone they know has been appointed and they don’t care if this person is corrupt or not.”

Malema says Gigaba is corrupt to the core.

“We know there were serious allegations against him for having an offshore account. He has never proved otherwise. We have been told of huge amounts of money that he exchanges with his friends. Why would a minister go around with large amounts of money in cash and exchange it?  He has never denied this. One can only carry cash if its corrupt money that comes from the Guptas,” says Malema.

Malema says if they want to pass a motion of no confidence against Zuma, they need ANC Members of Parliament to vote with them.

“We still need 70 people from the ANC, with the hope that the whole opposition will vote together. We are still going to meet other political parties. We know that the NFP will not vote with us. But we know the AIC and the IFP given previous experiences, we are guaranteed they will vote with us."
