Zuma goes to court to support his son
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Former president Jacob Zuma was in court on Thursday morning to support his son, Duduzane Zuma.
He walked in behind a contingent of security guards and followed by his son, Duduzane Zuma, causing excitement in the public gallery and smiling at the media.
Duduzane Zuma made a brief second appearance in the Randburg Magistrate's Court, where the case was postponed until 26 October.
He faces two counts of culpable homicide, relating to the 2014 car crash when his luxury car crashed into a taxi on a wet Johannesburg road.
A female passenger, Phumzile Dube, died on the scene.
Another woman died weeks later in hospital, but her death was ruled due to natural causes.
NPA spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, says the postponement will allow the defence to study the content of the docket and prepare their case for trial.
"The findings of the inquest into Phumzile Dube's death has now been released. The state has released all content that they have relating to the charges."
