Zuma to discuss ‘remission’ of sentence with KZN Judge President
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Jacob Zuma Foundation says it'll use Tuesday's meeting with the KZN Judge President to address issues around the former statesman's special release from jail.

President Cyril Rampahosa last week granted Zuma a remission of his contempt of court sentence.
The Department of Correctional Services said the former president would not have to serve the remainder of his 15-month prison sentence.
KZN Judge President Thoba Poyo-Dlwati will hold a virtual case management meeting on Tuesday, with all parties involved, in the case where Zuma is applying for the removal of advocate Billy Downer as a prosecutor in his corruption matter.
The foundation's Mzwanele Manyi says Zuma's application was supposed to hear in court on Tuesday.
"During these court hearings on the sidelines, the foundation also wants to make it clear that there will be an opportunity to give a definitive statement in response to the whole remission sentence issue, which was announced by Correctional Services on 11 August 2023."
