Zuma lodges complaint over leaked interview
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The Presidency has lodged a complaint with the Office of the Public Protector regarding the leaking of an audio recording.
The recording is of discussions which took place during a meeting between President Jacob Zuma and former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela.
The discussions were recorded during Madonsela's investigation into allegations of state capture, which was released last week as the "State of Capture Report".
The audio recording was leaked to a television news channel.
"The Presidency has sought clarity from the Office of the Public Protector on the policy of the institution regarding the release of audio recordings of interviews conducted during the course of investigations," the Presidency says in a statement.
