Zuma hinted on Saturday that he wants to return as South African president.

He made the remarks while addressing a prayer service at the Nazareth Baptist Church, better known as the Shembe church, in Ndwendwe in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Ndou says although the constitution does not prevent him from coming back and contesting for the presidency, he will need sufficient energy and resources to convince South Africans to vote for the newly launched MK party.

"We do not have rules that will prevent him from returning, especially when he comes back as a member of a different political party.

"What we observe very seriously is that people would think, if you were once president and looking at his age, people would normally think that the best thing for him would be to sit down and focus on himself.

“If it’s his choice there is nothing that South Africans can do, but it will require him to have sufficient energy, sufficient resources to go to every corner of the Republic of South Africa to convince people to vote for his party.

"But my inner sense is telling me Zuma could not be coming back to become the president. He needs to be honest with himself that this is something that won’t be possible for him to achieve.”
