A former officer at the South African Airforce told the commission into state capture that former president Jacob Zuma was aware of the Gupta landing at Waterkloof Airforce Base in 2013.

The commission resumed its work on Tuesday morning.
Colonel Christine Anderson, who served in the SAAF for 25 years, was the first witness on the stand.

“My discussions with Ambassador (Bruce) Koloane, he mentioned to me that our president is aware of this flight and knows about this flight,” said Anderson.
Anderson was placed on special leave amid the furore around the landing and charged with contravening various sections of the military defence code.
The charges also included colluding in the landing of a private jet at the Waterkloof Airbase.
Charges against her were subsequently withdrawn.
