Zuma's case postponed

The case of fraud, racketeering,
corruption, and money laundering against former president Jacob Zuma has been
postponed.
Zuma briefly appeared in the Durban High Court on Friday.
State advocate Billy Downer, told the court the parties agreed to postpone the matter to 27 July to allow Zuma's legal team to "get its house in order".
"Mr [Michael] Hulley and I have discussed the funding issue," Downer told the court. "He said that he needs more time to make funding arrangements and by the next holding date, he hopes to have an answer."

Advocate Michael Hulley believes by the 27th of July he will have clarity on the funding issue.
"By that date, it will give us sufficient time to obtain clarity on the funding," said Hulley.

Judge Mjabuliseni Madondo agreed to the proposed date, suggested by the legal teams.

The proceeding will be held at the Pietermaritzburg High Court due to renovations that are meant to take place at the Durban High Court.
