Youth Voices: Nkululeko Mthembu
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Meet Nkululeko Mthembu who at 25 runs his own company centred around reviving the Durban startup scene.
Mthembu casually recounts that on a vacation in Durban, he noticed a gap in the market - realising that there were hardly any co-working spaces.
Co-working can be described as a style of work where individuals who do not necessarily work for the same company but share the same values, work in the same space.
Taking a leap of faith, Mthembu relocated from Johannesburg to Durban looking for spaces to work out of and get his venture off the ground.
He says after knocking on several doors with no luck coupled with the red tape around access - he founded The Durban Innovation Hub.
Mthembu describes the Hub as a social movement geared towards entrepreneurship and the start-up culture.
Newswatch's Athi Tutshana sat down with Mthembu who shared his story.
