6.Tea
A cup of hot tea is just another way to take your fluids.Just be sure to choose decaffeinated varieties. Caffeine is a mild diuretic, which is counterproductive when you have the flu, and you certainly don't want to be awakened with the need to use the bathroom when you need your rest!
7.Juice
Any flavor or kind will do. Just drink lots of juice (preferably 100% Fruit juice) to keep yourself hydrated and to give yourself some extra vitamins.
8.Pepper
Pepper is an irritant. The irritating property of pepper stimulates circulation and the flow of mucus.
9. A warm shower
is often just the thing to help aching bodies feel revived. Also, if you've been sweating with a fever, a cool shower will help you feel better. The warm shower will open up your airways, especially if you have a stuffy nose.
10. Eat garlic!
You might not be so popular with your friends but give a chomp and you will give your immune system a fighting chance to kick that flu out of your system
