Hibiscus iced tea

Bored of Iced water and trying to avoid high sugar sodas? Try this refreshing home-made delight to wow your friends, and escape the heat.

Serves 8

1.8 to 2 litres of water  
6 Earl Grey tea bags or 6 teaspoons of tea leaves in a strainer
1/2 cup dried hibiscus blossoms

 

mix and the above ingredients into a jar with a lid, or a big serving jug. Keep it in the fridge for a minimum of two hours - this creates a lighter taste. By keeping the tea in the fridge overnight intensify the taste - this is a fan favourite

 

Strain the mixture and refrigerate until you're ready to serve!

 

Making a unique mixture:


• you can add a fresh zing to the tea by adding orange slices, a cinnamon stick, a couple of star anise pods, or a couple of thyme sprigs. It's up to you!
• Depending on your taste, use either golden syrup or agave nectar as a sweetner.
• Serve with a slice of or a squeeze of lime.
