Man Builds Own Human Powered Wave Pool
Whilst we are all getting drenched in the torrential rain that is sweeping acorss most of SA, here's an idea for just incase it decides not to let up!
A guy in Indonesia has done something amazing. This man has built a human powered wave pool three hours way from the ocean in the middle of Java…Yes stop for a moment and take that in…built his own wave pool.
“Freds wave” is a simple mechanism that he has been perfecting for a few years bringing surfing to kids who would probably never see the ocean. While the wave isn’t technically up to the standards you might get in Durban, we still think it is awesome!
How much fun are these kids having?. Fred we salute you….And was that 'Trek' that we heard you say when the kids had to pull the rope? We're not sure, but we will claim it! You're South African!
