Power out in Northern parts of Tshwane due to fire

Power supply will be interrupted in the northern supply area of Tshwane due to a fire that damaged 132kV conductors near Klerksoord. Tshwane is unable to back feed due to both circuits being damaged.  The damaged conductors need to be disconnected and the remaining (healthy) line re-energised. It is estimated that the supply will be restored by midnight.

-Magalieskruin

-Wonderboom Airport area

-Onderstepoort

-Wonderboom

-Wonderboom line

-Doornpoort

-Sinoville

-Sinoville line

-Bon accord line

-Pretoria North

-Wolmer

-SP line

-Theresa Park

-Tileba

-Parts of BVN and BVS lines

Consumers are requested to switch off all non-essential appliances  to assist with the load on the electrical network.

Residents are urged to treat all apparatus as alive/energised. Power failures can also be reported by sms.  Consumers must please sms the word power followed by their account number to 0826120333 or via phone 0801111556 option 3.
