Two women die in KZN accident

Two women died and three other people were injured when their car rolled on the N2 south between Stanger and the Umvoti toll plaza in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday afternoon, paramedics said.

Two women died and three other people were injured when their car rolled on the N2 south between Stanger and the Umvoti toll plaza in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday afternoon, paramedics said.
"Reports indicate that a Toyota with five people was travelling south bound when the vehicle overturned and rolled several times, the twisted remains coming to rest back on the roadway," said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha in a statement.
"Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after triaging the injured found that two females had tragically died on impact, two people were critically injured one of them a ten-year-old child, one person escaped with minor injuries."
The road was littered with debris and the twisted remains of the car, with some of the passengers still trapped in the wreckage.
After paramedics stabilised the injured, they were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The accident happened around 3pm.
