European powerhouses Germany and France block the way for Nigeria and Algeria to make some World Cup history tonight. Gavin Hunt gives us his views and dissects the Arjen Robben "diving" incident.

Africa has never had two teams in the last 16 and if both can pull off upset wins, they will meet in the quarter finals and an
African nation will be guaranteed a first ever place in the semi-finals.

France take on Nigeria in Brasilia at six and Germany play Algeria at 10...

Soccer analyst Gavin Hunt still sticks by his prediction that the Super Eagles will fall tonight, BUT says a lot depends
how Nigeria approach the game against a French side which has rarely been tested in the tournament so far...

 

 

It is Africa's big day at the World Cup this evening as Algeria and Nigeria bid for a place in the quarter-finals against Germany and
France respectively.

Soccer analyst Gavin Hunt says Algeria's relaince on a more "European" style of soccer, might be to their benefit, but he doesn't
see it being enough to halt Germany's advance to the quarter finals...
