Premier David Mabuza is expected to deliver his State of the Province Address on Friday in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature.
Premier Mabuza is set to deliver his second State of the Province Address ahead of the local government elections where he is expected to focus on the provincial economy and service delivery.
Mabuza will outline the achievements of the previous year as well as the plans for 2016.
As is the norm, issues such as education, health and plans for job creation are set to be at the top of the agenda.
The ANC enjoys a strong majority in the province, but has been racked by crippling factions.
Service delivery protests are also a regular feature of life in the province.
