Boks draw against All Blacks thanks to Jantjies try
Updated | By Valerie Robinson
The highly-anticipated clash in Wellington saw the Springboks draw 16 all against the All Blacks. The game ended dramatically when newcomer Herschel Jantjies scored a try in the 79th minute with Handre Pollard converting.
Man of the moment Herschel Jantjies says all he could think of was getting the ball in hand.
“I didn’t really think - I just wanted to get the
ball in my hand to score a try. I could have gotten a bit closer but luckily Pollard
is a great kicker and kicked it over for us,” he said after the game.

The match-up was seen as a dress rehearsal for the World Cup taking place in Japan later this year. The Boks and All Blacks will face off against each other in their opening game of the tournament on the 21st of September.
Last year South Africa secured their first away victory against New Zealand since 2009.
The Boks will next be in action when they travel to Argentina for their next Rugby Championship match up on the 10th of August.
