Burger Odendaal joins Lions from Bulls

The Lions have confirmed the signing of Burger Odendaal from the Bulls.

The Johannesburg franchise confirmed the signing of the former Bulls captain on Monday.
“In a homecoming of sorts Odendaal is back home where he started his rugby career at Monument High School,” the Lions said in a statement.
“He played his high school rugby on the West Rand and represented the Lions at the various Youth Weeks (Grant Khomo and Craven Week).”

The 27-year old inside centre was deemed surplus to requirement by the Bulls director of rugby Jake White, with reports that he was deemed too expensive.
