Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Kaizer Chiefs have parted ways with coach Ernst Middendorp after the club lost the league title on the final day of the season.

Middendorp failed to secure the Absa Premiership title despite his players being top of the league for the majority of the season.
Mamelodi Sundowns managed to snatch the title from Amakhosi’s grasp on the final day of the season.
The German-born penned a two-year deal at Kaizer Chiefs in Decmeber 2018, after Giovanni Solinas was sacked for the club's poor performance.
The club made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
"After reviews conducted by Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung and the club's management, Amakhosi have decided to part ways with coach Ernest Midderndorp with immediate effect".
"We will announce the new coach before the team returns for pre-season training.”
