Chiefs sack Ntseki after dismal start to season

Kaizer Chiefs have fired head coach Molefi Ntseki after the club's poor start to the season.

The former Bafana Bafana coach took over from Arthur Zwane in June after another disappointing season for the Soweto giants.
The Phefeni Boys were knocked out of the new Carling Black Label knock-out competition over the weekend.
The club has not been performing to its expectations in the Premier Soccer League, after winning only three games, losing four and drew two games.
In a media statement on Monday, Amakhosi said Ntseki's tenure ended amicably by mutual consent.
"Given the recent run of disappointing results, the parties agreed that this was the best course of action under the prevailing circumstances.
“I would like to thank Coach Ntseki for his contribution to the Club since he arrived here, both at development level and with the senior team. We wish him success in his future endeavours,” said Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr.
Cavin Johnson has been appointed at interim coach, assisted by former Bafana Bafana winger Dillon Sheppard.
Arthur Zwane is to remain at Naturena by going back to his former role within the development structures of the club.
