Easy outing for Pirates, while Chiefs draw

Orlando Pirates remained in top form, beating Highlands Park 3-1 in Soweto on Saturday evening in an Absa Premiership match.

The Buccaneers' goals came from Thembinkosi Lorch, Frank Mhango and Paseka Mako.


Although Pirates remain fifth on the log, they are now seven games without loss - taking 17 points from the available 21.


Meanwhile log leaders Kaizer Chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw by Black Leopards in Thohoyandou on Saturday afternoon.


Amakhosi took the lead after a goal by Samir Nurkovic  - netting his 10th league goal of the season.


Leopards' Lidoda Duvha struck back to ensure that his team move out of the relegation zone and into the 14th spot on goal difference. 


Chiefs are meanwhile 10 points clear of Mamelodi Sundowns with one game more played. 


In the final match on Saturday, hosts Cape Town City beat Bidvest Wits 2-0.


On Sunday, Polokwane City take on Golden Arrows, Bloemfontein Celtic square off against Chippa United and SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns meet in the Tshwane derby.
