Injury sidelines South Africa's Gelant for Rugby Championship
Updated | By AFP
South Africa utility back Warrick Gelant said Monday that he had ruled himself out of the Rugby Championship for a "few months".

"I will undergo surgery soon on my shoulder. Will be out of action for a few months," the full-back/winger tweeted.
Gelant played in the dead-rubber third Test against England last month after being among the replacements for the first two internationals of a series the Springboks won 2-1.
Based in Pretoria with the Northern Bulls, the 23-year-old is a rising star of South African rugby with jinking runs from deep positions a feature of his play.
South Africa launch their Rugby Championship campaign on August 18 against Argentina in Durban and their last match is at home to world champions New Zealand on October 6 in Pretoria.
The Springboks are preparing for the four-nation championship, which also includes Australia, with a training camp in southwestern town Stellenbosch.
