[LISTEN] Vermeulen injured as Bulls snatch victory in Loftus thriller

The Bulls strengthened their position at the top of the Rainbow Cup log with a nailbiting 31-27 victory over the Stormers at Loftus on Friday night.

Lock Ruan Nortje scored the winning try in the final seconds to keep the Bulls on course for a place in the final.
Coach Jake White told the media afterwards that even through he would chose a more comfortable scoreline, he is proud of his team.
“At one stage, we had made 20 tackles, they made something like 115 or 120 tackles in the first half. So, we made it difficult on ourselves.”
However, the win came at a price for the Bulls with an injury to Duane Vermeulen.
White admits it doesn’t look good.
Meanwhile, White sang the praises of Marcell Coetzee who – in his first game for the Bulls – also assumed the captaincy.
“It’s unbelievable. That guy literally has gone from arriving at the club not knowing anybody, not knowing the game plans and the next thing his captain. Feedback from the players is that he was unbelievable, the way that he led them and the way that he spoke to them. He was phenomenal.”
