New Bafana coach named on Saturday
Updated | By Morgan Piek
The South African Football Association (SAFA) is expected to announce the new Bafana Bafana coach on Saturday.

SAFA confirmed that they will be naming the new man in charge of the national team, less than two months before they face Zimbabwe in their opening game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Former Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy, who is currently in charge at AmaZulu, still appears to be the favourite for the post.
In March Molefi Ntseki was axed after the national team’s failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
This was the minimum mandate for Ntseki to achieve at the coach.
The governing body of the sport in South Africa received over 200 CV's by hopeful applicants.
Pitso Mosimane's name is still floating around, while Herve Renard of France, Carlos Queiroz of Portugal and Hugo Broos of Belgium are the international contenders.
