Proteas pay tribute to late Ali on twitter

A number of South African cricketers have paid tribute to boxing legend Muhammad Ali who died on the weekend.Led by Proteas opening batsman Hashim Amla, the cricketers paid respect on social media to the 74-year-old former world heavyweight boxing champion.
“He represented HUMANITY and all its splendour. A GREAT teacher. The deeply LOVED Muhammed Ali,” tweeted Amla.

Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn posted a picture of Ali with Nelson Mandela along with the message: “Who threw it better? Inspirational men who fought for many, legends! Let’s not disappoint them! #inspire RIP”

Proteas One Day International (ODI) captain AB de Villiers retweeted a tribute from SA golfing legend Gary Player which said: “He was both brilliant & controversial. He inspired & empowered. We should celebrate his legacy. GOAT [Greatest Of All Time]. RIP Champ”
