The SA Football Association (Safa) issued a statement on Wednesday dealing with Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela, who has failed to report for duty at the Bafana Bafana camp which began on Monday.

The SA Football Association (Safa) issued a statement on Wednesday dealing with Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela, who has failed to report for duty at the Bafana Bafana camp which began on Monday.


Bafana are preparing to play Mauritania in their Caf African Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 qualifier on Saturday, in Nouakchott.

The South African Football Association (Safa) has received lots of media enquiries regarding the call up of Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela and his subsequent failure to report for Bafana Bafana camp.


As the Association, we are busy gathering information regarding what transpired and will issue a comprehensive statement thereafter.


“We are aware of the seriousness of the matter at hand, and will give it the urgent attention it deserves.


“But it is vital that for now we focus and give support to the team that will play Mauritania on Saturday,” said SAFA CEO Dennis Mumble.
